The first day we knew you.
And everyday, we prayed for you.
The day we started recording how you grow.
Here came the day we learned there was something wrong with you.
But we’re still hoping the doctor was wrong.
The day we saw you but didn’t hear your heartbeat.
And then the day our hope was high again
(after the other doctor told us to wait for one more week).
Mommy took a very good care of herself just for you.
Somehow, there was nothing I can do but always be there.
The day we went for the final examination.
I couldn’t get your brother down because he wanted to stay close to mommy.
The evening that only your brother and I were at the dining table.
Your brother just couldn’t wait to see if it was mommy coming out from the room.
Mommy had to stay a night at the hospital
and this was before we say good night.
The next morning, your brother and I came with flowers.
I told him to give them to mommy and say “Welcome home mommy..”
After all, we learned that the reason that God kept us waiting
for another 3 weeks is not to have you
but to make sure that we are strong enough to let you go.
And we thank God for that.
For you, who we’ve never met.

We love you.
